The staff at Muscatine Radiology is proud to announce that the scarecrow put together by team members Karen Matuszak and Joyce Tulliani took 1st place in the awareness category at the Muscatine Journal’s Scarecrow Festival held this past weekend.
The scarecrow was half man, half woman, and made the public aware that men can suffer from breast cancer as well with an owl stating,
“Who…..who……whooooooooo knew, he can get breast cancer too!”
Bravo Karen and Joyce and we can’t wait to see what you come up with next year!
Joyce, a longtime resident of Muscatine, graduated from Muscatine High School in 1978. What Joyce most enjoys about her job is scheduling appointments and interacting with patients. When asked what her favorite part about Muscatine Radiology is, Joyce stated she likes that she gets to work with a small and cohesive group of co-workers.
Joyce likes living in Muscatine because she is able to be close to her family, especially her children, Marisa (24), Nick (22), and Kaitlyn (17). Joyce also loves to see the sites of Muscatine and can often be found on the River Walk with her beautiful grandson.
We feel Joyce is a great asset to Muscatine Radiology because of her spunky personality, her drive to succeed and her uncanny ability to remember EVERYONE’S names!
Next time you are in the area, stop by Muscatine Radiology, grab a cup of coffee in the lobby and say hello to Joyce behind the guest services counter!
Denette knew she wanted to become an ultrasound technologist after completing a job shadow in High School.
“I was attracted to the field because the ultrasound technologists and radiology technologists seemed so energetic and enthusiastic.” Replied Denette when asked why she wanted to be a technologist, adding,
“I was always intrigued by the subjects of human anatomy and pathology.”
Denette attended high school in Cedar Rapids before moving on to Cedar Rapids School of Radiologic Technology from 1987-1989 and completing her schooling at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Ultrasound Program in 1991.
Denette’s favorite part of her job is interacting with various people and she also enjoys fetal ultrasounds and vascular ultrasounds. Her favorite part of working at Muscatine Radiology is the small group of employees who work well together as a team.
Living in the rural Nichols area, Denette has a love and respect for Mother Nature. She has been married for 17 years and has 5 german short hair dogs and two cats.
Muscatine Radiology is proud to have Denette as one of their own! We feel Denette brings a special artistry to her work, especially when it comes to taking that very special 3D/4D “Babies first picture!”
No, we are not talking about Cedar Street! Come back soon to take a look at our employee spotlights!
